All elements are always available and retests are usually permitted with the payment of a second fee as required by the ARRL.

Unless something odd happens, all VE tests WILL be given on the date and time shown in the chart below. If there is a problem there will be an alert message at the top of this page on the day of the test. If the problem occurrs early enough the test will be canceled and that will be shown in the chart.
Be sure to arrive on time. Late arrivals that may disrupt testing will NOT be permitted to test. It may be possible to bring a late arrival in for testing part way through the session but you should not depend on this.
Testing is done several times per year per the following schedule. Tests are usually on the second Thursday of odd numbered months. The location, unless otherwise noted, is the Stow-Munroe Falls Public LIbrary in the Munroe Falls Room on the second floor. Registration begins at the start time and testing starts as soon thereafter as practical.
Special Note on the Revised 605 Form:The FCC has revised the form 605 to include the 'Felony Question'. On the new NCVEC 605 form (which is a shortened version of the FCC form) which reads: 'Has the Applicant or any party to this application, or any party directly or indirectly controlling the Applicant, ever been convicted of a felony by any state or federal court?'. If you would answer 'YES' to this question you should review the ARRL's web page on the topic so you can understand the special requirements.

If you are an ARRL member, you can also fill out and turn in a VEC605 form (we will have them at the exam session) to renew or modify your current license at no charge. There continues to be some confusion about which elements you have credit for when you upgrade. The elimination of the CW requirement for General and Amateur Extra licenses has eliminated much of it but these two special cases still exist.
If you're still confused, contact me and I can help you untangle things.
Before you take your exam you should read the Amateur Radio Exam Tips and Hints page. This page will provide several hints and tips that will help you pass your exam the first time.
